Overview
There are few destinations more romantic to plan a wedding than ‘fair Verona.’ Just 20 minutes from the ‘city of eternal love’, Villa Zambona is a magnificent 17th-century Palladian villa set on an idyllic private estate with enchanting landscaped gardens and a large private swimming pool. The interiors are just as timelessly elegant as the villa grounds, making this a sophisticated setting for your wedding in Italy. Frescoes and trompe l’oeil paintings adorn the walls and antiques and Murano chandeliers embellish each room, which are tastefully brought up to the 21st century with modern bathrooms (several of which are ensuite), air-conditioned bedrooms and well-equipped kitchen.

Plan a bespoke wedding celebration with up to 50 guests near Verona with the dedicated assistance of the villa’s owner, Marina, who can connect you with her network of trusted and local wedding planners and caterers to help bring your vision to life.

By far the most special detail of a Villa Zambona wedding is the unparalleled romance of the villa grounds and the variety of gardens, courtyards and frescoed porticos you have at your disposal for all your various celebrations. Welcome your guests in the immaculate courtyard with a champagne reception before exchanging vows in the villa’s private chapel. Celebrate post-ceremony by your private pool with aperitivo and canapés before sitting down to dinner in front of the villa facade. Between the opulent villa exterior and fragrant Italian gardens, nothing could be more intimate than an alfresco banquet decorated with flowers and candles as the evening light seeps in. If the weather is less favourable, the frescoed villa porticoes make for an equally romantic setting for a wedding feast. Pose for wedding photos along the classic cypress-lined drive before dancing the night away beneath the pool’s more modern portico.

When you opt to get married at Villa Zambona, the ceremony is usually a symbolic one so you can take your pick of the many beautiful settings on the villa grounds to say ‘I do’. A symbolic ceremony can be hosted upon request in the villa’s private chapel, a unique and historic setting to bring together 30 of your most treasured guests. If you are dreaming of tying the knot in the birthplace of Romeo and Juliet, religious ceremonies can be held in one of the local churches of Verona. Civil ceremonies can also be held in any of the local town halls for a more authentic experience of Italy. While your wedding planner handles the legal side of getting married abroad, you can focus on your commitment to one another and your beautiful surroundings.

Villa Zambona is also available to rent fully staffed with chef services for 6 breakfasts and 3 dinners included in the price, as well as a weekly maid service so you can focus on relaxing ahead of your big day. To make your wedding extra special, our complimentary Travel Concierge Service can also help you organise any additional experiences and catering in the lead-up to your wedding day. Arrange a welcome dinner of local Veneto cuisine for your guests in the villa courtyard, expertly prepared by an in-villa chef. Invite your friends and family to an in-villa wine tasting by your private pool or perhaps even plan a private tour around the romantic sites of Verona. If you’d like an in-villa chef to cook extra lunches and dinners for the week so you can focus on the beauty of Verona, we can make it happen. Our team ensures the trip is built around you so if you need any shopping or additional maid services arranged, it is not a problem.

Villa Zambona is situated on a private organic farm producing one of Veneto’s most important staples; rice. Have your in-villa chef prepare a risotto lunch for you or treat your guests to a private cooking class. The villa’s idyllic countryside setting is perfect for peaceful strolls with your friends and family, where you may be lucky enough to spot some of the local birdlife. Zambona is the ideal base for exploring the Veneto winelands, with Valpolicella and Bardolino to the north and Soave to the east. With Verona just 15km away, head to the Antica Bottega del Vino near the Piazza delle Erbe for aperitivo before an evening at the opera at the city’s ancient amphitheatre. Some of Northern Italy’s most iconic cities are also within reach of your villa doorstep; plan day trips to Padua (94km), the pretty waterfront towns of Lake Garda (36km) and even romantic Venice (127km).
